The Salvation Army Evansville Corps in Indiana is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to expand services across Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey counties. You will recruit, develop and place volunteers for Christmas fundraising, social services programs, corps activities and special events.

In this role you will build relationships with community partners, coordinate volunteer groups, manage communications and raise awareness through social media, newsletters and promotional materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree preferred.
• Nonprofit/volunteer coordination experience is a plus.
• Experience with social media, digital content, and design is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Recruit and develop volunteers; maintain volunteer database and reports.
• Provide in-depth training for volunteers and send monthly newsletters.
• Coordinate volunteer groups for the Christmas Red Kettle Campaign and events.
• Develop promotional materials and build partnerships with community resources.
• Represent The Salvation Army at community meetings and outreach events.
