Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Indianapolis seeks a Family Ministries Coordinator to support families in our Johnson County Outpost, assisting with physical needs, personal growth opportunities, and spiritual direction in line with the mission.

You will conduct intake, assessments, coordinate Pathway of Hope, coordinate life skills courses, build community partnerships, and maintain records using SIMS, while supervising volunteers and contributing to Christmas and other outreach

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in ministry, social work, psychology or related field is strongly preferred.
Two years of experience in social work or related field; ministry leadership preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; Safe From Harm training within 90 days of employment; Caseworker Certification within 120 days.

Responsibilities

Provide intake and assessments with families seeking assistance.
Coordinate Pathway of Hope participation and develop action plans.
Maintain records and monthly statistics using SIMS system.
Develop and maintain relationships with community collaborators and agencies.
Lead Bible-based life skills courses for financial management, parenting, and youth development.
Supervise volunteers and assist in events and seasonal activities.
