Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a LifeWise CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. Ideal candidates are responsible, punctual, and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include transporting students and volunteers, enforcing safety rules, performing bus inspections, and keeping the vehicle clean and fueled. Compliance with LifeWise policies and background checks is required.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• Active license for past three years.
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred.
• Age 21–80; CDL license copy annually if over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance.
• Drug/alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Underwriter-required Physician's Statement for medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students entering or exiting
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved
