LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a CDL bus driver to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires punctual, responsible service and a clean driving record.

Drivers must pass background checks, drug testing, and participate in LifeWise training as needed. Responsibilities include transporting students, maintaining safety and cleanliness of the bus, performing inspections, and assisting students entering or exiting.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL with passenger vehicle (P) endorsement.
• Age 21–80; drivers above 75 must annually submit CDL copy with (P) endorsement.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing required.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Complete training required by LifeWise Academy.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the director.
