Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking an on-site CDL bus driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. You must maintain a clean driving record, comply with background checks, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements, and complete drug testing as required.

The role demands punctuality, a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, and dedication to student safety. Training provided; CDL with passenger endorsement strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsement for driving a passenger vehicle (P) required.
• School bus endorsement preferred.
• Age 21-80; over 75 must submit CDL copy with P endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check, MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required.
• Drug/alcohol testing required as per LifeWise policy.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting and demonstrate a calm demeanor.
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate as agreed with director.
