Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record, a CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, and a commitment to the LifeWise faith statement.

You will conduct safety inspections, enforce bus rules, and participate in required training. The position emphasizes punctuality, responsibility, and a caring demeanor while maintaining student safety and bus readiness.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs
• CDL license, with copy kept on file if needed
• Endorsements: CDL with passenger vehicle (P) required; School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Age 21–80; driver over 75 must submit CDL copy and (P) endorsement annually
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents or citations in past 5 years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy
• Drug/alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents)
• Annual physician's statement required for any known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce rules and assist with entering/exiting the bus
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and volunteer in LifeWise classroom as agreed
