A mature, punctual candidate with a clean driving record is required, along with a valid CDL and passenger endorsement. Qualifications

• Must hold CDL with passenger endorsement (P)
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Continuous CDL licensing for past 3 years
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required
• Mandatory drug/alcohol testing pre-employment and periodically
• Annual review: provide CDL license with (P) endorsement if over 75

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to/from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and drive safely
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for students; enforce safety rules
• Assist students with entering/exiting the bus as needed
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor; monitor student behavior
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if directed by the director
