Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a CDL bus driver to transport public school students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement (P) and preferably a school bus endorsement, along with a clean driving record and ongoing compliance checks.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• CDL license with P endorsement; license must be current and active for past 3 years
• School bus endorsement preferred
• Age between 21 and 80; those over 75 must submit CDL copy and P endorsement annually
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing as required
• Medical statements for known conditions as required by underwriter

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules
• Assist students with entering/exiting and be calm and caring
• Complete LifeWise Academy required training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by director
