Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a responsible CDL bus driver to transport public school students to and from LifeWise sites. The candidate must be punctual, with a clean driving record and a mature faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

The role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement (P) and ideally a school bus endorsement (S). Candidates will undergo background checks and drug/alcohol testing, complete LifeWise training, and may volunteer in the LifeWise classroom when possible.

Qualifications

• CDL license with passenger vehicle endorsement (P) required.
• School bus endorsement (S) preferred.
• Clean driving record; no at-fault accidents in the last five years.
• Background check and drug/alcohol testing are required.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 must submit CDL license and (P) endorsement annually.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and show a calm, caring demeanor.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and volunteer in LifeWise classroom if directed.
