Job summary

The Standard is seeking a Voluntary Employee Benefits Consultant to drive top-line growth and broker recruitment in Kansas and Nebraska. You will consult with national, regional, and local brokers, and train partners to grow our voluntary benefits offerings.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years selling voluntary benefits, reside in KS or NE, and can travel 2–3 days per week. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and Life & Health licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Life & health licensing required; if not licensed, must obtain upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience selling voluntary benefits.
• Must reside within Kansas or Nebraska and have established broker relationships in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consulting relationships with broker partners for voluntary group and life insurance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on enrollment technology solutions and products for client needs.
• Deliver training and ongoing development to producers, agencies, and general agents.
• Collaborate with internal departments to achieve production goals and ensure high-quality business.
• Analyze market trends and support recruitment and marketing initiatives.
