Finance Manager
The Finance Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers and sales staff in choosing and closing vehicle sales, as well as presenting products that protect their vehicle purchases. This individual works with lenders to obtain financing approval and completes all vehicle purchases and associated paperwork accurately and on time. The F&I Manager is also responsible for following up on and collecting receivables.
The Finance Manager reports daily issues to the General Sales and General Manager.
Job Description
Essential Functions
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present the vehicle(s) of interest and explain available finance products.
- Assist in closing deals according to the sales process.
- Support sales managers to maintain a respectable closing ratio.
- Help customers select protection packages by presenting all products and benefits.
- Build relationships with lenders to secure the best financing options for customers.
- Submit deals electronically using the dealer system.
- Enter transactions accurately into CDK and bank approval systems.
- Process transaction paperwork meeting all legal and lender requirements.
- Track receivables and follow up to ensure collection and compliance.
- Scan and submit deals promptly to the office.
- Coordinate with sales team and managers to ensure transaction accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Maintain and clean up CIT and problem logs daily.
- Follow-up with customers for purchased products as a courtesy reminder.
- Assist sales during peak times with customer engagement.
Performance Measurements & Expectations
- Average deal size of $1,800 or more.
- Electronic sign deal rate of 90% or higher.
- Warranty penetration of 45% or higher.
- Gap penetration of 30% or higher.
- Sealant penetration of 20% or higher.
- Maintenance penetration of 25% or higher.
- Road Hazard penetration of 20% or higher.
- Products per deal of at least 1.25.
Environmental & Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
- May need to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift up to 25 pounds.
