Finance Manager - Fast-Paced, High-Growth, Recruitment Company

Location: Offshore (supporting the UK & US office)

Salary: R45,000 - R56,000 per month

Leave: 20 days annual leave + mental health/self-care days

Team: Reporting to the CFO (UK)

This isn't your standard finance job.

While you'll be responsible for the core month-end and management reporting tasks, half of your role will focus on process improvement, automation, and strategic projects. You'll work closely with the UK Financial Controller to drive high-priority finance transformation initiatives handed down from the CFO and Board level. Expect a quick pace-projects move fast, and we expect execution within 30-45 days.

You'll also be working alongside and helping manage a Management Accountant who will support the more routine, day-to-day tasks, freeing you up to focus on marginal reports, automation, system enhancements, and value-adding insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare timely, accurate monthly management packs for senior leadership review
• Produce clear, detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Track progress against budget and provide meaningful variance analysis
• Lead commission and bonus calculations monthly/quarterly
• Provide regular reporting: monthly, quarterly, and annual financials
• Support statutory account production and liaise with audit teams
• Partner with the UK Financial Controller on:
  
  
  • System and process automation
  • Payroll and purchase ledger reviews
  • Resource planning and process improvement
• Execute fast-turnaround finance projects tied to CEO and board priorities
• Assist in developing budgets and forecasts
• Work with international accountants to manage accurate reporting across regions
• Mentor and guide junior staff as needed
• Liaise with HMRC on VAT/PAYE when required

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant or Finalist (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in the recruitment industry
• Track record of process improvement and project delivery
• Strong working knowledge of Xero and/or Access
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to interpret and manipulate complex data
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Sharp attention to detail and takes full accountability for their output
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth environment
