Job summary

Insight Global seeks Systems Test Engineers to support an FAA modernization initiative focused on transitioning legacy air traffic control communications to Voice over IP. You will travel across the United States (up to 70%) to deploy, test, and validate IP-based voice systems at FAA facilities.

You will develop and execute test plans, document results, generate defect and action reports, and ensure all activities comply with FAA quality standards and program requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-25+ years of experience in Network/Communications/Systems Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting of VoIP systems.
• Experience with IP networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%) across the U.S.
• Eligible to obtain FAA Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, validation, and verification of VoIP systems for FAA communications.
• Deploy, configure, and test IP-based voice systems at customer sites.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and test cases per requirements.
• Document results, generate defect reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Maintain VRTM with engineering and design teams.
• Support system acceptance testing, integration, and field validation.
• Ensure testing complies with FAA and program quality standards.
