LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks an Electrical Engineer to support FAA Air Traffic Control Communications System test, evaluation, and analysis at The William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ. The role emphasizes operational test case planning, protocol converter testing, and IP/VoIP signal measurements.

The position requires 20+ years in engineering, ABET-accredited degree, and familiarity with EUROCAE ED-137 and FAA equipment. Travel and on-site duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 20+ years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of EUROCAE ED-137 and VoIP is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FAA Radio Control Equipment functionality and maintenance techniques is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program; Master's degree can substitute for 3 years of experience; PhD can substitute for 7 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering expertise to apply state-of-the-art technology to meet mission requirements.
• Plan, develop and execute Operational Test Cases to validate Operational Suitability of Air Traffic Control Communications Systems.
• Develop test plans, procedures and reports for protocol converters.
• Develops procedures for measurement of IP, analog, and discrete signals (IP-analog conversions, voice delay, noise, distortion, encoding/decoding).
• Support technical performance testing for Air-to-Ground and Ground-to-Ground Protocol Converters for EUROCAE ED-137C VOIP and signaling.
