Job description

This position is in King's Point, NY at the USMMA building and is assigned to provide services in support of the VTC team. The candidate will serve as a VOIP Senior Engineer, focusing on supporting customer requests and VTC-related tasks.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide nationwide video conference operation and support services to 7 modes within the US Department of Transportation.

Summary

Manage day-to-day operations of VTC/multimedia platforms, including operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting video conferencing hardware, software, and collaborative technologies for the US Department of Transportation. Serve as the primary integration specialist for Zoom Rooms, enabling simultaneous operation of Teams, Polycom, and Zoom in real-time meetings. Develop processes for complex system integrations and provide reporting on high-visibility meeting performance.

Duties

Analyze and develop VOIP networks, including designing and planning installation and maintenance of VOIP systems from inception to completion. Manage H.323/SIP and other VTC technologies, ensuring proper integration and communication with VOIP networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience required.
• Research, test, and configure SIP/H.323 devices with room resource calendars for one-touch Zoom meeting joining.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DOT video conference infrastructure equipment, including Poly DMAs, RPRMs, RPCSs, and RPADs.

High Priority Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Certifications

• 3+ years managing Voice Networks.
• VOIP knowledge and experience.
• VTC technologies experience.
• Zoom and MS Teams proficiency.

Preferred Skills

• Poly, Cisco VTC codec configuration and troubleshooting.
• AMX, Crestron control programming.
• AV switch, Biamp DSP configuration and troubleshooting.
• IP network knowledge.

Additional Notes

US Citizen or Green Card Holder; ability to attain a Public Trust clearance.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
