Job summary

Reston Consulting Group, Inc. seeks a VoIP Engineer with an active Secret clearance to support a DoD contract in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, 100% on-site position requiring five days per week in the office.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise voice communications, including VoIP, UC, E911, and related telephony systems across the DC metro area. A DoD 8570/8140‑compliant certification is required.

Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance (or higher) required.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, business management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum four (4) years of experience supporting enterprise VoIP and VTC environments.
DoD 8570/8140‑Compliant Certification required.
Experience with CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber and VoIP networks.

Responsibilities

Design, install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise VoIP and telephony infrastructure.
Work with Federal clients on migration to modern architecture (e.g., Teams telephony).
Perform operational support and sustaining engineering for analog, digital, and VoIP telephone systems.
Install, configure, and maintain telephone system hardware, cabling, software, and related infrastructure.
Administer trunking, firewall logging, and security policies for voice networks.
Provide after-hours support and participate in on-call rotation.
