LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks an electrical engineer to support test, evaluation, and analysis of FAA air traffic control communication systems at the William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

The role focuses on operational test case development, protocol converter testing, and performance assessments of ED-137 VOIP and signaling for FAA interfaces. The candidate should have 20+ years’ engineering experience, ED-137/VoIP knowledge, and an ABET-accredited

Qualifications

20+ years of basic engineering concepts.
Knowledge of EUROCAE ED-137 and VoIP is highly desirable.
Knowledge of FAA Radio Control Equipment functionality via the Maintenance Data Terminal is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET-accredited); Master/PhD substitutions possible with experience.

Responsibilities

Provides engineering expertise to meet mission requirements.
Plans and executes Operational Test Cases to validate Air Traffic Control communications systems.
Develops test plans, procedures and reports for Protocol Converters.
Measures IP, analog and discrete signals including delay, noise, AGC and encoding/decoding of ED-137 messaging.
Supports technical performance testing for Air-to-Ground and Ground-to-Ground Protocol Converters.
