Alaska Communications Systems Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and support our voice infrastructure, including MetaSwitch provisioning, SS7/STP networks, and SBCs.

The role involves modernization, lifecycle management, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure reliability across the statewide voice network. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in voice systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with DMS and legacy platforms.

Qualificações

• 3–5 years of experience in voice systems administration or engineering.
• Proficiency with voice applications, SS7, SBCs, VoIP deployment, LNP, and call‑flow analysis.
• Solid understanding of MetaSwitch provisioning and legacy switching platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and support voice switching infrastructure across production and development environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot carrier‑grade voice switching systems and STP networks.
• Monitor performance, lead root‑cause investigations, and enhance monitoring for vulnerabilities.
• Configure SBCs and ensure regulatory compliance for VoIP traffic and CALEA requirements.
• Develop documentation and participate in after‑hours maintenance windows as needed.
