Job summary

The Systems Engineer will design, deploy, maintain and support telecom systems including TDM switches (DMS-100, DMS-10, Redcom, Mitel), VoIP platforms (MetaSwitch), SS7 signaling, and

Qualifications

  • College diploma in computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering.
  • Relevant experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardware, systems, and software for network and system infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain network services, equipment, and devices for core and customer solutions.
  • Troubleshoot network and system infrastructure issues and document resolutions.
  • Manage backups and restoration protocols for servers and clusters.
  • Plan and support network and computing infrastructure; monitor performance and tune as needed.
  • Support user accounts, permissions, email, and security measures.
  • Maintain and support VoIP platforms, mainly MetaSwitch, and SS7 signaling systems.
  • Implement and maintain E911 systems to ensure public safety compliance.
