Job summary

Unitek College of Nursing in California seeks a Full-time Vocational Nursing Instructor to train the next generation of nurses. The role includes visiting clinical sites, delivering lectures and coordinating clinical rotations, and refining syllabi to meet program guidelines.

The ideal candidate will hold CA RN or LVN licensure, BSN/ADN, immunizations and BLS, and ATI certification within 60 days of hire, with opportunities for growth and ongoing CE support.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current CA licensure.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Science in Nursing or credentials as required by state regulations.
• Able to meet the faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• 3 yrs of Nursing experience with BSN or 6 yrs of Nursing experience with Associates.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification.
• Must obtain ATI Certification within 60 days of hire (offered by Unitek)

Responsibilities

• Visiting clinical sites and teaching both lecture content and clinical rotations (days/evenings/weekdays/weekends).
• Reviewing and revising syllabi to align with program guidelines.
• Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and clinical skills check-offs.
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Participate in professional development and committee activities as needed.
