Job summary

Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Vocational Nursing Instructor for days at our campus in California. You will teach LVN courses Monday through Friday, supervise clinical rotations, and mentor students while maintaining records and ensuring compliance with program guidelines.

We require RN or LVN licensure in the state, a nursing degree with relevant experience, and ability to update syllabi, contribute to program reports, and participate in professional development.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LVN license in the state of application.
• Bachelor degree with 3 years nursing experience OR Associate degree with 6 years nursing experience; bedside experience required.
• Meets Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements.
• Demonstrates current nursing knowledge; mentors students in classroom, lab and clinical settings; independent worker; strong communication.
• Current immunizations and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach LVN courses Monday–Friday in day schedule.
• Review and update course syllabi; deliver lectures and supervise clinical rotations.
• Maintain student attendance, grades, and skill checkoffs.
• Keep up with safety regulations and new nursing technologies.
• Submit program reports to Director of the program in a timely manner.
• Participate in professional development and CE hours.
