Job summary

Dunhill Government Solutions seeks a Tier II VMware virtualization support specialist to ensure availability and performance of enterprise infrastructure. You will escalate and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain the virtual environment.

Active Top Secret clearance is required. Typical compensation ranges from $70,000 to $102,000 per year, with EST hours 10am–6pm. Experience with vRealize/Aria, vCenter, and Veeam is preferred; ServiceNow familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or CS, or related field.
• 1+ years of VMware virtualization support experience.
• Experience with ITSM incident tracking (ServiceNow preferred).
• Troubleshooting VM performance, storage, and networking in a virtualized env.
• Top Secret clearance required
• Shift is 10am EST - 6pm EST
• Security+ certification

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II escalation support for VMware-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot VM performance, host connectivity, and storage issues.
• Provision, clone, template, and decommission VMs per change management.
• Monitor health using vRealize Operations, vCenter alarms, and monitoring tools.
• Document incidents and requests in ITSM (ServiceNow).
• Assist with backup and disaster recovery processes (Veeam, SRM).
• Support security hardening and compliance per security requirements (STIGs).
• Collaborate with Tier I for guidance and escalation criteria.
