Job summary

Dunhill Professional Search & Government Solutions seeks a Tier II VMware specialist to support enterprise virtualization infrastructure, primarily vSphere/vCenter/vSAN/NSX, at Fort Meade, MD. You will act as escalation for Tier I and perform advanced troubleshooting, capacity planning, and change-controlled VM provisioning.

Active Top Secret clearance is required; compensation ranges from $72,000 to $102,000 per year depending on experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or Associate degree + 2 years additional relevant experience; or 4 years additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
1+ years of VMware virtualization support.
Experience with an ITSM incident tracking system (ServiceNow preferred).
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting VM performance, storage, and networking issues within a virtualized environment.
Top Secret clearance required

Responsibilities

Provide Tier II escalation support for VMware, VMs, and related virtualization infrastructure.
Troubleshoot VM performance, host connectivity, storage, networking, and clustering issues.
Perform VM provisioning, cloning, templating, and decommissioning per change control.
Monitor environment health with vRealize Operations and vCenter alarms; address capacity and config issues.
Document incidents and service requests in the ITSM system (ServiceNow) and ensure SLA-based resolution.
Assist with backup and disaster recovery using Veeam and VMware SRM; support recovery testing.
Support security hardening and remediation per DoD/Federal STIG requirements.
Collaborate with Tier I to provide guidance and escalation criteria for VMware tickets.
