Job summary

Alloy Fasteners, Inc. in Springfield, MO is seeking a results-driven Warehouse VMI Manager to lead vendor managed inventory operations at our distribution facility.

You will direct a team, optimize processes, and ensure on-time customer service while maintaining strong safety and ISO quality standards. The role emphasizes leadership, training, inventory control, and collaboration with branch teams to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong warehousing and distribution experience.
• Proven leadership and people-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ERPs, and strong computer skills.
• Working knowledge of purchasing, sales support, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff to achieve daily VMI goals and ensure smooth, efficient facility operations
• Maintain full VMI accountability
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are met, respond efficiently to customer and sales team inquiries, and support high customer satisfaction
• Oversee training and ongoing team development
• Ensure compliance with the ISO Quality Program, safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with teams to support customer needs and new business opportunities
• Communicate effectively with other branch managers
• Run and analyze daily VMI operational reports, including open orders and purchase orders
• Step in to cover VMI operational needs during employee absences as required
• Ensure the facility, equipment, and supplies are maintained in good working order and that operational needs are anticipated and addressed
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
