You will work closely with buyers, plants, and vendors, run inventory reports, resolve discrepancies, and help maintain pricing tables and records. The role requires at least a year in inventory control and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or related area.
  • Working knowledge of inventory internal controls and company procedures.
  • Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain plant VMI programs in collaboration with buyers and plants.
  • Run inventory reports and answer inventory questions.
  • Communicate with vendor contacts and facilitate their needs.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and inform plants and vendors.
  • Maintain vendor price maintenance tables and update VMI and cash contract records.
  • Prepare various reports and correspondence as required.
  • Process Import payables and share backup receptionist duties.
  • Assist in special projects and other duties as directed.
