Job summary

HD Supply in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an Inventory Associate to serve as a liaison between the organization and the customer through Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operations. You will manage daily replenishment orders, receive transfers, and maintain accurate inventory at the client site.

The role involves monitoring stock levels, communicating with customers about stocking and seasonal changes, and ensuring timely reporting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or related area.
• Experience with replenishment orders and VMI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely and accurate fulfillment of daily replenishment orders for the customer.
• Receives daily replenishment and branch transfers to maintain accurate inventory.
• Completes control reports as described in the operations manual.
• Monitors and adjusts minimum and maximum inventory parameters.
• Communicates market and customer conditions to necessary stakeholders.
• Engages with the customer about product stocking, assortment, and seasonal fluctuations to prevent outages.
• Monitors inventory and maintains regional items as needed.
