Job summary

Vallen USA in Tyler, TX is hiring a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to deliver and manage inventory at customers’ sites. You will perform storage, distribution, and order fulfillment tasks for merchandise, products, and equipment.

The role requires driving duties compliant with DOT standards, accuracy in shipments, and proactive collaboration with the sales team. A valid driver's license and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Valid driver’s license in line with company standards.
• Willingness to learn and work on semi-routine assignments.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work with supervision.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to get the job done correctly and timely.
• Proactive, positive team approach to problem resolution.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, co-workers and management.
• Willing to gain knowledge of company products.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations safely and per DOT standards.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and proper documentation.
• Assist with VMI space setup and stock product at the customer site.
• Follow customer orders from pick-up to delivery and setup at site.
• Relate customer spot buy orders to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes at customer sites to generate orders.
• Perform VMI tasks at Point of Use areas, including loading and receiving.
• Monitor min/max, reorder points, and report observations to management.
• Advise on changes to customer inventory levels based on usage.
• Keep barcode labels up to date and report label needs to management.
• Contribute to annual inventory counts for consigned items.
• Present information and respond to client questions.
• Maintain 5S in VMI areas.
• Perform other duties as requested.
