Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc is seeking a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator II to deliver and manage inventory at customers\' designated sites. You will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in storing, distributing and fulfilling orders of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

You will drive company vehicles, ensure shipment accuracy, set up VMI spaces, and coordinate with sales teams to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license in compliance with company standards.
• Willingness to learn, semi-routine assignments, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations in a safe manner and in compliance with all DOT standards and regulations.
• Ensure accuracy of shipments to customers.
• Assist with VMI customer space/placement and set up of areas to receive shipments and stock products at customer sites.
• Follow customer orders from pickup at Vallen\'s warehouse/DC to delivery and setup at the customer site.
• Take customer spot buy orders and relay to CSR or Account Rep.
• Scan barcodes to generate customer orders and perform VMI functions at point-of-use areas.
• Maintain awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity and report observations to management.
• Recommend changes to customer inventory levels based on usage.
• Ensure bar code labels are up to date and legible; notify management when new labels are needed.
• Assist in annual inventory counts; present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and managers.
• Perform 5S in all VMI Point of Use areas.”
