Qualifications

• Associate's degree and one year of customer service or confidential records experience.
• Ability to review complex legal documents and assess eligibility for records requests.
• Knowledge of office practices, records management and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Register birth and death certificates in line with state standards and policy.
• Assess and verify legal documents to determine applicant eligibility for records.
• Provide written and oral instructions to data providers on filing and amendments.
• Review applications for accuracy and prevent fraud or improper disclosure of records.
• Open, sort, scan, and index mail; maintain electronic copies and documentation.
