Qualifications

• Associates degree plus one year as a customer service representative or equivalent experience.
• Ability to follow laws, rules and policies governing vital records.
• Proficient with office software and confidential record handling.

Responsibilities

• Research, assess and process vital records using complex data systems.
• Register and amend birth/death certificates per state laws and policies.
• Verify identification and documents to prevent fraud and improper disclosures.
• Explain filing, amendment or replacement procedures to providers and applicants.
• Coordinate with internal divisions and agencies to obtain required legal documents.
• Provide responses on legal requirements and deadlines for document submissions.
