Job summary

Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) seeks a CAU Case Navigator to process gender-marker amendments on NYC birth certificates and related changes. You will review applications, provide clear guidance to applicants, and maintain accurate case records in a high-volume, public-facing environment.

Reporting to the bureau, you will work in an office setting at 125 Worth Street, with a 35-hour week, and a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience providing customer service, case navigation, or administrative support.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service consistent with agency principles.
• Serve as a case navigator for gender marker and related amendment requests, guiding on requirements.
• Review applications and supporting documents, identify missing information, and resolve issues.
• Prepare clear written correspondence using plain language.
• Assist customers in the CAU public lobby as needed and handle escalations professionally.
