Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pet Care Assistant to join our veterinary team in Minneapolis. You’ll help prepare exam rooms, assist clinicians, and support clients with preventive care guidance.

This role emphasizes compassionate animal handling, cleanliness, and teamwork to deliver excellent pet care. The position requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment, with potential weekend and evening hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year related experience preferred with customer service.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for examination and gather necessary supplies for the veterinarian.
• Maintain the Cycle of Service flow and provide client education on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Assist with restraining pets during examination and procedures.
• Prepare in-house laboratory tests as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Monitor hospitalized patients’ comfort and assist with routine care and cleaning tasks.
• Assist with bathing and dermatosis treatment as advised by the veterinary team.
• Ensure cleanliness of the hospital and equipment per protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
