Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Patient Services Worker to support hospital and long-term care nutrition services. You will deliver and collect patient trays, communicate dietary needs, and assist with menu selections to ensure patient nutrition needs are met while maintaining sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include inventory, temperature logging, and supporting clinical staff in basic nutrition care, with potential for role evolution based on unit demands.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service.
• Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Obtain food preferences or dislikes from patients and/or family members.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensure nutrition diet orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintain sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and complete sanitation tasks.
• Inventory and restock pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Maintain temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understand therapeutic diets using established protocols and seek assistance if an error is observed.
• Assist clinical staff in ensuring patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.
