Job summary

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English; bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service and delivers nourishments as ordered.
• Visits patients to introduce the Food and Nutrition Services.
• Communicates patient food needs to the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures diet orders are followed by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards and cleaning schedules; assists with other sanitation tasks.
• Inventory and restock pantries, refrigerators, and freezers on assigned units.
• Keeps temperature logs for unit refrigeration equipment.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
