Job summary

Belk is seeking a Merchandising Team Lead to drive compelling product presentations and maintain visual standards on the sales floor. You will lead a small team, oversee floor sets, signage, and price changes while ensuring a seamless customer experience and adherence to brand guidelines.

You’ll collaborate with omni, operations, and selling teams to optimize merchandising and store performance, participating in weekly planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising or Retail Management.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must regularly move around store areas and be accessible to customers.
• Must bend, reach, stretch, lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull equipment up to 500 lbs.
• Ability to carry props and assemble visual elements at heights.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability to achieve store objectives.
• Lead team in executing product presentations, planograms, and brand standards.
• Assist with receiving and processing inbound deliveries to support product readiness.
• Communicate daily goals and key tasks; model team knowledge development.
• Plan and schedule merchandising and signing tasks; determine required labor hours.
• Adapt tactics based on forecasts and business needs.
• Support onboarding and ongoing learning to enhance team performance.
• Foster a positive store culture and recognize associate achievements.
• Support in-store customer experience, stock replenishment, and store recovery during peak periods.
• Lead store fulfillment and asset protection processes following safety protocols.
