Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium is seeking a part-time Visual Merchandising Supervisor to oversee merchandise staff, assist with displays, stock, and fixture moves, and keep products fresh to drive sales. This role reports to the Assistant Director of Merchandise and is part-time, non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Previous personnel supervision experience required.
• Counterpoint register system and Inventory control experience is required.
• Proficiency in basic math skills.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to learn and execute a concept, multitask and delegate.
• Must have the physical ability to lift 35 pounds, work on your feet, and walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
• Individuals may also be exposed to inclement weather conditions such as heat in the summer or low temperatures in the winter at the outdoor stands.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, 5 days a week, Monday-Sunday, including some holidays.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Our Merchandise department is currently seeking a part-time Visual Merchandising Supervisor who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience.
