Job summary

The Toledo Zoo is seeking a Merchandise Crew member in the Merchandise department. This part-time role involves checking in merchandise, stocking shelves, and operating registers to deliver excellent guest service.

Ideal candidates are able to work evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on friendly guest interactions and teamwork in a dynamic, outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Schedules may include evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Retail sales and Counterpoint Register System experience is a plus

Salary Range: $12.00 To $12.00 Hourly

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been educating, inspiring, and providing enjoyment to our community for over 100 years. Our Merchandise department is currently seeking part-time, Merchandise Crew who are passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. This role is responsible for checking in merchandise, stocking shelves, operating registers, and delivering top customer service to our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to approach guests in a positive manner and can work well independently as well as with a team.

This position is a non-exempt, part-time position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Training & Qualifications

• Work schedules may include evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have the physical ability to lift 35 pounds, work on your feet, and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
• Individuals may also be exposed to inclement weather conditions such as heat in the summer or low temperatures in the winter at the outdoor stands.
• Retail sales and Counterpoint Register System experience is a plus!
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
