Job summary

West Elm is seeking a Visual Merchandising Lead to partner with management in executing the store’s visual display strategy and to coach the visual team. The role focuses on maximizing productivity, maintaining standards, and driving sales through effective floorsets and signage.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and retail experience, with a focus on home design and display. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration

Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and influence others.
• Ability to be active, standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting for extended periods.
• 1-3 years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in home related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual merchandising and display; map, plan and execute floorset timeline targets.
• Lead and maintain daily disciplines and routines for markdowns, promotions/signage, replenishment and recovery.
• Collaborates with GM and DVM to adapt directives to store ownership/layout/customer.
• Analyze reporting to identify opportunities to improve profitability and drive results.
• Communicate inventory needs to DM and distribution; partner with GM to maximize margin and profitability.
• Partner with GM on associate productivity and performance related to visual standards.
• Maintain visual supplies and signage organization; communicate supply needs to GM.
• Partner with GM to ensure effective payroll/workload planning.
• Partner with GM to assess, recognize and motivate talent.
• Serve as learning partner during onboarding; facilitate visual training and skill-building.
