Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a Visual Inspector - API 510/570 for an embedded role in Lima, OH. The candidate will perform visual and NDE tasks on pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards.

Responsibilities include reporting findings, advising on repairs or replacements, and providing input on welding/metallurgical issues while adhering to all safety practices. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Certified in API standards 510/570/653.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site.
• CWI and/or NDT certification a plus.
• Deep knowledge of API 510/570/653 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examinations of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement or alteration of plant equipment for safe operation.
• Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Comply with Acuren and client safety practices; participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
