Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Visual Inspector with API 510/570/653 certifications to support field operations.

You will perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment, generate technical reports, and advise on repairs or alterations while ensuring safe operation and compliance with client requirements.

The role requires on-site work, potential travel, and collaboration with petrochemical facility personnel to maintain equipment integrity.

Qualifications

• API 510/570/653 certification is required.
• 5–10 years’ experience, or at least 2 years on site.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570/653 and ASME standards.
• CWI or NDT certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues as required.
• Adhere to all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
