Job summary

Acuren in Kingsport, TN seeks a Visual Inspector specializing in API 510/570/653 for an embedded role. You will perform visual and NDE tasks on pressure-retaining equipment and document conditions in technical reports.

You will interact with plant engineers, ensure compliance with API and ASME standards, and provide input on repairs or alterations. Travel may be required; the position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification of API 510/570 required.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety practices and participate in site safety.
