Job summary

Acuren is seeking a Visual Inspector with API 510/653 certification to support operations as a travel-enabled role, based out of Raleigh, NC. The position requires performing visual and NDT examinations on pressure-retaining equipment to API/ASME standards.

You will submit reports, provide technical recommendations, and contribute to welding/metallurgical discussions while adhering to client safety practices. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• API 510/653 certification required.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• API 570 or CWI a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of API 510/653 and ASME standards.
• Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and NDT inspection of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide input on welding and metallurgical issues as needed.
• Provide guidance on NDT techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel as required.
