Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Visual Field Technician to support the care team at Everett and Arlington locations. You will greet patients, document findings, and help with referrals and prior authorizations while delivering excellent service.

This 40-hour Monday–Friday role emphasizes empathy, accuracy, and teamwork within Lean processes, with a focus on patient confidentiality and quality documentation.

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ year of healthcare environment experience.
  • 1+ year of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday with schedule listed in posting.
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel to both sites: 3802 Colby Ave., Everett, WA 98201 (main office) and Arlington, WA locations.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and escorts patients and documents visual field results.
  • Uses multiple computer and phone systems to fulfill patient needs over the phone.
  • Ability to perform patient outreach via telephone.
  • File and maintain medical records.
  • Perform referral and prior authorization documentation promptly.
  • First point of contact for our patients; sets the tone for a positive experience.
  • Exhibits empathy, courtesy, competence, efficiency, and care.
  • Schedules appointments and procedures following standard guidelines.
  • Verifies patient information and documents in Electronic Health Record.
