Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Visual Design Lead in Colorado to elevate visual communications across the enterprise. You will partner with marketing and pursuit teams to craft brand-aligned graphics, lead select proposal templates, and enhance proposal visuals nationwide.

The role combines design excellence with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visuals that support high-priority pursuits and cross-region collaboration. A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design is required.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of digital, print, typography, video, corporate publications, design, and production.
• Ability to lead creative projects through entire lifecycle, from ideation to completion.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Update and enhance enterprise-wide proposal graphics to ensure consistency, visual impact, and alignment with brand standards.
• Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of select proposal templates, developing flexible, high-quality tools.
• Develop compelling graphics, infographics, diagrams, and layouts that translate complex information into clear, engaging visuals.
• Partner with proposal, marketing, and pursuit teams across the enterprise to support high-priority and strategic pursuits.
• Establish and maintain scalable graphic standards, templates, and resources across regions and business units.
• Provide creative direction and design expertise on select proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to turn technical concepts into easy-to-understand visuals.
• Identify opportunities to improve proposal design workflows, graphic libraries, and shared resources.
• Maintain and organize reusable proposal graphics and visual assets.
• Provide design guidance, best practices, and quality control for proposal-related graphics.
• Collaborate with regional designers to share best practices and drive consistency.
