Job summary

Lake Metroparks is seeking a Visitor Services Manager to lead visitor services operations, including program and facility registration, customer service processes, staff supervision, financial transaction procedures, scheduling support, and related administrative functions.

This exempt, full-time role requires leadership for assigned projects and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

Associate degree in hospitality, business administration, public administration, recreation, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
At least three years of customer service, visitor services, registration, hospitality, or related public-facing experience required.
One to two years of supervisory or lead-worker experience required; three or more years preferred.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Lake Metroparks’ liability policy.

Responsibilities

Follows safety procedures and supports a safe environment for participants, visitors, volunteers, and staff.
Supervises visitor services staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and feedback.
Verifies daily receipts and deposits and supports reporting for the Finance Department.
Oversees registration and scheduling processes for District programs, facility use, and ticketed events.
Develops, manages, and approves departmental work schedules and budget.
Serves as petty cash manager and coordinates transportation scheduling as assigned.
