Job summary

El Museo Latino in Omaha, Nebraska seeks an outgoing Visitor Services Associate to greet visitors and provide information about the museum. The role includes front desk responsibilities, cash handling, and delivering excellent customer service in a bilingual-friendly environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in customer service, retail or hospitality, and comfort with Microsoft Office. Flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of general museum environment.
• Experience with customer service, retail, and/or hospitality.
• Knowledgeable using Microsoft and other computer technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments.
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with all visitors delivering exemplary customer service and accurate information about the Museum.
• Maintains the museum's front desk, including keeping an orderly workstation, answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate person when necessary.
• Manages the day-to-day activities at the front desk, including operating the cash register in accordance with proper cash handling procedures, assisting in inventory control, and helping maintain an orderly and organized main Lobby entrance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

El Museo Latino, located in Omaha, Nebraska, engagesthepublicinthe history, traditions, culture, and arts of Latin America. We arestewards of a collection, and interpreters of Latino arts and artifacts. Establishedin1993, El Museo Latino shares the history of Latinos through interactive exhibits, original arts and artifacts, and public programs.

Responsibilities:
