Job summary

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum is seeking a full-time Associate for the Visitor Services team. The onsite role welcomes visitors, processes tickets, and shares accurate information about museum programs and amenities, helping guests engage with personal stories of loss, recovery, and hope.

Associates work five 9-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays, outdoors and indoors in all weather. You will wear a museum-issued uniform, greet diverse visitors, and uphold policies while

Qualifications

1-3 years of customer service experience, preferably within museums or tourism.
Cash handling experience required.

Responsibilities

Greet and orient visitors to the memorial and museum.
Sell tickets, audio guides, and tours at the Box Office.
Scan tickets at museum entry points.
Hang and tag visitor belongings in the coat check.
Provide visitors with accurate information on amenities and programs.
Assist with wayfinding on the memorial plaza and inside the museum.
Enforce institutional policies while delivering outstanding customer service.
Work five 9-hour shifts per week.
Work weekends and holidays.
Wear a museum-issued uniform.
Work outdoors on the memorial and indoors at the museum in all weather.
Stand for long hours.
Take direction from Supervisors and Managers.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Be comfortable working with a diverse international public in a busy environment.
