Job summary

Keystone Kidspace is seeking a friendly Visitor Experience Ambassador to greet guests, assist with admissions, gift shop sales, and general customer service. This hybrid role focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere and memorable interactions for visitors and members.

Responsibilities include handling ticketing and transactions, keeping staff informed with events and programs, and promoting Keystone Kidspace through engaging conversations while maintaining a neat front desk and Gift Shop area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Ability to obtain criminal history and child abuse clearances.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Regular weekend availability.

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest at Keystone Kidspace with an emphasis on delivering a consistent, positive experience to all.
• Facilitate all ticketing and retail transactions, including collecting waivers for all minors and checking in members, birthday party guests, and event registrants.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current events, programs, offerings, and products and use that knowledge to drive sales.
• Spark conversations as an opportunity to promote Keystone Kidspace.
• Update guests throughout the day with announcements via a microphone.
• Maintain the appearance of the building entrance, front desk and Gift Shop according to guidelines.
• Visitor Experience Ambassadors may be assigned other duties as directed during their shift that can be completed during their time at their station

The Visitor Experience Ambassador is a friendly and enthusiastic representative who is responsible for providing outstanding guest experiences. As the first point of contact for most visitors, the Visitor Experience Ambassador is responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all guests. This position is a “hybrid role” that encompasses admissions, gift shop sales, and customer service. Their driving purpose will be to deliver memorable interactions with each of our guests and members, leaving a positive, lasting impression of Keystone Kidspace.

Skills Needed

• Passion for and commitment to Keystone Kidspace’s mission and willingness to learn about our current events, programs, offerings, and products
• People-person with an outgoing, positive attitude
• Professional and conversational, with strong oral and written communication skills; Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
• Comfort interacting with a diverse audience including children as well as adults
• Ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently, to build relationships with members and both regular and first-time visitors
• Previous experience working in retail

Schedule/Availability

• Saturday 9:30am – 5:30pm
• Sunday 11:30am – 4:30pm
• More hours may be available for extra holiday open hours and evening events throughout year
