Job summary

The American Journey Experience is seeking a Visitor Services Representative to deliver a positive experience for guests while handling admissions, memberships, classes, events and merch sales. You will process transactions, manage member data, and assist with enrollment at the information desks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in admissions or non-profit settings, strong Excel/Word skills, and experience with Raiser's Edge; a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Minimum 5 years in museum/admissions or similar non-profit setting preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Word; Raiser's Edge experience a plus.
• Experience with non-profits is a plus; strong desire to learn and grow.
• Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff and patrons.
• Create bookings and process sales for admissions, classes, tours and merch.
• Handle membership sales, payments, and data entry; print member cards.
• Assist with member accounts and run daily attendance and membership reports.
• Oversee wheelchair and stroller checkout and maintain information desks.
• Greet guests and coordinate with staff; support events and special hours.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
