Job description

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and related fields
  • Facilitate student learning in accordance with DeVry University requirements
  • Develop course syllabi and lesson plans aligned with course and programmatic objectives
  • Organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
  • Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
  • Set course expectations, objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weighting
  • Ensure exams align with terminal course objectives
  • Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
  • Provide timely feedback to students
  • Integrate responsible AI technologies into classroom teaching and learning
  • Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
  • Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in mathematics or related field with 9 or more graduate hours in statistics, or a master’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Unofficial graduate-level transcripts must be uploaded with the application
  • Degree awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or by an internationally equivalent accredited institution
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply
